James started the company after earning a Petroleum Engineering degree in a down market (1985). It started after seeing a need when he was watering his parents yard by hand in the hot Texas summer. The neighbors were so impressed that they wanted one too. More neighbors and friends wanted systems. Thirty plus years later, Louden's has grown steadily and continues to grow almost exclusively through word of mouth referrals.

Today Louden's installs about 200 systems a year. The company is large enough to professionally install your system in about a day. But we are small enough to take pride in doing the system right. James Louden personally designs, bids, lays-out, oversees, and explains the system to every customer on every job!
